The platens can be switched out for smooth ones, depending on the application, and operators control the temperature with a thermostat ranging from 175 to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Constructed of stainless steel, its body is durable, while its handle is heat resistant. The top uses a hinge system for safe operation, and it can accommodate 3-inch-thick product. Around the bottom platen, a 0.75-inch splash guard contains product and protects users from grease spills. A water-resistant, heavy-gauge conduit protects electrical connections to the top plate, and cleaning the unit is straightforward because it comes with a removable grease trough.
